Strong Hearts Blackpool

Our local movement to make Blackpool Resus Ready

What is Strong Hearts

Strong Hearts is our Blackpool campaign that mirrors the spirit of HOWL and turns it into local action with Strong FC and friends. We celebrate survival stories, teach fast and safe CPR, grow confidence to use a defib, and bring partners together so that more people in Blackpool come home after a cardiac arrest.

  1. Check safety and response. Shout for help and call 999 on speaker
  2. Send for a defib if one is nearby
  3. Start chest compressions in the centre of the chest at a steady rate and good depth
  4. When a defib arrives turn it on and follow the voice prompts
  5. Keep going until the person breathes normally or a responder takes over

Training gives confidence. Book a Strong Hearts session to learn safely with a trainer.
